NAPSA will be hosting the 2018 Workshop on Hardware and Software for Facilitating Earth and Space Science at Lowell Observatory on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018.
More information on the 2018 Workshop can be found here.

Research institutions in Northern Arizona have a long history of conducting high-level planetary science research; however, collaborations among these institutions have been rare.

Several researchers and educators recognized the potential benefits of creating a formal mechanism for collaborating, sharing resources, and mentoring students. As such, the group formed steering committee in February 2014.

One of the main objectives is to provide a single portal for members of the planetary science community, regional schools, and the general public to access information and resources associated with cutting edge science being conducted in Northern Arizona. The following institutions are members of NAPSA:
NAU Department of Physics and Astronomy
NAU School of Earth Science and Environmental Sustainability
NAU School of Informatics, Computing, and Cyber Systems
USGS Southwest Biological Science Center
USGS Astrogeology Science Center
Lowell Observatory
US Naval Observatory
Earth Vision Science and Technology

The progress and outcomes of NAPSA has been presented in 2015, 2016, and 2017 at the Annual Lunar and Planetary Science Conference (LPSC). If you would like more information about NAPSA, you can download the LPSC abstracts using the links below.
